ABOUT
ME

Passionate About Inspiring Others

I started skating as a 3 year old with big hopes and dreams to be the best ice skater I could be. My skating journey began with taking group lessons and slowly transitioning into taking private lessons. I performed in my first competition and ice show, with Reflections On Ice at the age of 4. As a young skater, I trained 6 days a week for at least 2 hours a day with the addition of private lessons, on ice group classes, off ice training, gym workouts and ballet. Each year of my skating career I improved level by level in all aspects of skating, Skating Skills (Moves In The Field), Freeskate, Solo Free Dance, and Solo Dance, until I earned a United States Figure Skating gold medal in each category.

While I was in college pursuing my undergraduate degree at Washington State University, I taught USFS Learn to Skate group lessons at the Moscow, Idaho Palouse Ice Rink, for 3 years. While on summer break from college, I taught Learn to Skate group lessons at the Tacoma Twin Rinks ice arena, in Tacoma Washington. I am currently teaching Learn to Skate and private lessons full time at the Tacoma Twin Rinks ice arena, while actively pursuing my Master's degree from Washington State University online.

My goal as a coach is to mentor skaters and teach them the skills they will need, in order to be successful in fulfilling their skating dreams. As well as, teaching them important aspects of athletics like teamwork and good sportsmanship, that they will utilize in all areas of their lives, in and outside of sports. My second goal as a coach is to ensure that my skaters are having fun and are loving what they do because that's the most important part of being an athlete.
